Dr. Vajda was born and raised in Northwest Indiana in a small suburb of Chicago. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Indiana University in 2011. He then continued his education at Indiana University School of Dentistry where he was President of his class. After receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree with the highest distinction, he began his residency training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles during which he received his Medical Degree and completed a General Surgical Internship.
Dr. Vajda is now in private practice full time in Santa Monica. He is a member of the Medical Staff at St John’s hospital in Santa Monica and also at UCLA where he takes facial trauma and infection call. He is also on the teaching faculty at UCLA School of Dentistry in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and maintains membership in several professional organizations including the American Medical Association, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Vajda is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and he practices the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with special interest and expertise in orthognathic surgery. Having lived in the west Los Angeles area for the past decade, he enjoys serving within the local community.
Dr. Vajda is married to Lauren who is an anesthesiologist at UCLA. In his free time, Dr. Vajda enjoys working out, Chicago sports, dining, traveling and spending time with his daughter Mila.
